Responsibilities

The core responsibilities of University of Alberta Protective Services (UAPS) are to protect life and property, to maintain the peace, to render aid to those in need, and to enforce the laws, rules, and regulations equitably and fairly.

Capabilities

UAPS members acting within the scope of their duties are authorized to take such lawful steps as may be necessary to protect the people, lands, buildings or other property of the University of Alberta. As a community Peace officer agency we provide a number of services.

Paladin Security

Paladin Security is an after hours private security company under contract to the University of Alberta. Paladin Security is on the Augustana campus Tuesday through Saturday. Their primary role is building security.
