Rev. Craig Wentland, Augustana Chaplain
Pastor Craig, the Campus Chaplain, preaches and presides at the sacrament, to which all members of the Augustana community are welcome. Craig provides leadership in addressing the spiritual and religious needs of the campus through presiding at worship, counselling with an open welcome to all, and teaching a course in Religious Studies.
Robyn Simpson Mohr, Assistant for Chaplaincy
The Assistant for Chaplaincy organizes and coordinates the activities of Campus Chaplaincy. Robyn's office is a busy and happening place: resource room, meeting place, counselling centre, hang-out spot, craft workshop, and generally great spot to be. Come say hello!
The Student Chaplains assist in nurturing faith in the University context by encouraging and supporting other Augustana students in their personal and corporate life of faith. Together with the Chaplain and the Assistant for Chaplaincy, they also provide opportunities for the Augustana community to gather for worship, learning, service to others and building community.
Augustana Chaplaincy Council
The Augustana Chaplaincy Council participates through supporting the on-campus chaplains. Composed of members of the Augustana community, students and "Lutherans at large", this group sets long-range policy, oversees the activities of the other ministers, and works to raise funds. Responsible to the Synod of Alberta and the Territories of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada, this group includes:
Barry Vall (Chairperson)
Doug Tien (Treasurer)
Jim Appleby (Secretary)
Jane Arial (ELCIC Synod Rep.)
Mardell Olson (Vice-Chairperson)
Amanda Kuschminder (Student Rep)
Jon Skinner (Student Rep)
