Career options are expanding rapidly as our society becomes more aware of the value of wellness and physical activity. Some opportunities taken by program graduates include:

  • adventure and eco-tourism guiding
  • athletic therapy
  • teaching
  • physical therapy/occupational therapy/medicine
  • RCMP or law enforcement
  • sport psychology/counseling
  • sport events organization
  • sport journalism
  • sport photography
  • sport law

Students who have graduated from Augustana's physical education degree program are now teaching, studying further in graduate school, working with provincial sport organizations, coaching in collegiate athletics, administering recreation programs for Boys and Girls Clubs, and working in the area of massage therapy. Their preparation at Augustana has served them well.
