Visual Art
Available as a Minor in:
Any program.
Department
Augustana's visual art program provides a strong foundation in both the history and the practice of visual art through its focus on basic knowledge. It is particularly suited for students who are in the very early stages of their artistic development.
Art gives you options
After completing the program, students are equipped with a strong foundation in practice and theory.
Not just for artists
Art can be an ongoing adventure of discovery whether you make it a livelihood or not. Students are encouraged to enter studies in studio practice or art history with no background in art, and without submitting a portfolio.
