Personal Information
I grew up in a small town, Trochu, made up of about 1000 people. I was raised in a family of six, with me being the youngest child. My parents are Kevin and Eleanor Kubinec, and my siblings are Erin, Colin and Hillary. My entire family has always been very active and interested in sports. My parents played college sports at RDC, and my brother Colin and sister Hillary both played volleyball at the acac level as well. In my free time away from basketball I like to spend time with friends, shop, camp, and travel.
2010 - 2011 Season
The team last year did really well, having a breakthrough season and qualifying for playoffs. This was exciting because it had been quite a few years since Vikings women's basketball had qualified for playoffs. We went into playoffs as fourth in the north, and beat out the number one team in the south, Sait. It was an exciting series going into three games, with the first two extending into overtime. There was so much growth in the team last year, finishing off strong and on a positive note. This year we are looking to build on that exciting finish and make it further into playoffs.
2009 - 2010 Season
I played as a point guard/ guard throughout my entire high school career, and we were always a fast break transition team. We were usually a full court pressure defense team as well.
